Incidence of Cancer is increasing day by day in developing countries
like India. Increasing environmental pollution, rapid urbanisation,
and stress and strain of modern life style, infections, heredity
and many other causes increase the risk of cancer. Breast cancer,
cancer cervix, lung cancer and various blood-related cancers demand
tremendous amount of money, early detection and comprehensive
management. Various modalities of cancer treatment need increasing
awareness and education to the patient as well as the attendants.
Early detection and timely management can cure some of cancer
patients and also reduces morbidity. This course offers understanding
cancer process and how various disciplines can integrate and help
in managing cancer patients.
